PCN - PCM Private parking

I went to collect my grandson from my daughter in law - I had to go to where they have a parking permit in London, I was waiting with the doors open to get the car seat and bits transferred over .. now I find I have a parking ticket ..I wasn't parked but loading..the image clearly shows all of the doors open.. what is my position on this ?

If you want an answer that's going to help you then at least try to put some effort in.........your image is rotated at 90 degrees.

The people here who advise you will, in the vast majority of cases, get you out of paying anything, they're very wise.

So repost your image in normal orentation.

Hi Brenda - I can assure you that I did put some effort in - I have in the past only had to 'add files' or 'copy and pasted' - this is new technology to me and the best I could achieve, I am asking my son to amend the file. And I am sorry if I offended anybody.

Could you provide us with a specific Google Steet View location?

I have found the 'Trowbridge Estate' but I'm struggling to find the exact location.

Initial inspection shows that the surface markings are worn out.

I hope this helps - it was Shalbourne Square - my Daughter in Law's parking space was on the right and I had to park in the road so that we could move the car seat over ..

Thank you

The sign doesn't mention anything about waiting and the yellow lines are very faded  .. as I never received the PCN for 12 days after its issue - should I appeal today or just pay it.. would really appreciate some advice.

The way I see it, but please wait until someone more experienced writes down their two cents:

1. Loading/Unloading is not parking - It's a permitted activity on double yellows. Absent clear pictures of the signs stating otherwise.
2. Even if they somehow think this is parking, there's no period of parking on the NTK - Just a single timestamp. These timestamped photos are taken just 3 seconds apart.
  - A period of parking is required for them to keep the keeper liable through POFA 2012.
  - Even IF they somehow mangle their way through thinking a single timestamp is enough, 3 seconds is not long enough for the driver to consider the terms of parking.
