Please show us the letter.

How far is this going to go? It is going to go all the way to your local county court and once they have allocated a date for the hearing, four weeks before that is the deadline for the claimant to pay the £27 trial fee. Just before this date, whenever that is, you will receive an N279 Notice of Discontinuation and that will be the end of the matter.

We can’t guarantee anything, every case is different, but this is the most likely outcome.

How do I upload the photos then? Obviously the link is not working. Is there another app that I can use instead? I am not tech savvy.

Good, so that’s a further step down the line, but nothing to be done yet.
In due course you will get more details and dates, please post without obscuring the dates, and these will include the hearing date, the date by which the claimant has to pay the fee, and the date by which papers have to be served.
If you post here we can then advise further then.

What is the date in point 3 you have obscured?

So you need to make a note of the date of 28 May, by when you may need to submit a Witness Statement.
However, if additional information tells you that the claimant has to pay the court fee before this date, they are likely to discontinue before you need to submit anything.
Come back either when you get this information or before 28 May.

HELP!

Just had a phone call from DCB legal wanting to speak to me. I said I was driving to work and was unable to speak to them. Arranged to call me back on my lunch break. I blocked their number.
My question is: Do I need to speak to them? If they call me on a different number, do I just hang up? or what do I need to say or do?

Would appreciate some advice please!

Thanks

They're just fishing trying to get you to pay before they have to take it to court....  blocking seems sensible!

Block their number. If they phone off a different one and you inadvertently answer, do not enter into discussions with them. I would just say something along the lines of "I am not prepared to discuss the case on the phone, please put all communication in writing" and then hang up.
