Parking Eye PCN
« on: March 20, 2025, 08:21:48 pm »
Hi,

Hoping for some advice. Received the following PCN today from the 1st March.

Driver was attending a children’s football match out of area and postcode for school took to church next to school. Parked on empty church car park before realising no access. Called home team who advised where to park (turning further down the road). No signs noticed on arrival or departure.

Contacted church via phone who own the land who said from December they can no longer cancel fines and apologised for this as they acknowledged that this is not appropriate.

Car is also a lease car, this PCN did not come with any supporting documentation.

Welcome. For completeness, please show us the back of the notice.
Is it addressed to you, or the lease company?

The document you have shown us is labelled as a 'reminder' - did you not receive the original?

Additionally, the reminder says that the original notice was issued on 6th March - if that too was addressed to you, that seems unusually quick to have gone from parking event -> registered keeper -> hirer. Is this a Motability car?

Not a motability car. Private lease. No previous correspondence either. I presumed the 6th march may have been to the leasing company

You say it is a leased vehicle. In whose name is the vehicle registered? Who is the Registered Keeper on the V5C?

Fairly certain it is the lease company. Speeding fine I received was delayed as went to the lease company first and I had to accept I was driving before I could proceed
