parking charge

Hi. My wife parked at Widnes market car park £2  all day ,she inadvertently inserted one letter wrongly , we received a photo of her car plus a fine , she send a bank statement showing the payment and the time and the name of the car park , we received a letter yesterday say they have rejected it and also want to charge her £20 administration fee , we have also now found the parking ticket . any help would be appreciated

See F.3 in https://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/Sector%20Code%20Templates/sectorsingleCodeofPracticeVersion1.1130225.pdf also, the £20 is for a “keying error” rather than the full £100 or whatever.

However, as already said, with more information it may be that you owe them £0.
