County court claim notice
« on: »
I received a letter dated May 17 saying that I have to pay an outstanding amount and I'll get a letter from the court and they will likely issue a CCJ if I don't pay. I have also received the letter from the court asking for £284.44 and just wondering whether I can just ignore the claim?
It is for a being observed leaving the parking site. I haven't responded to it before now either. I also for married on May 23rd so I've been a bit busy but need to respond now if I'm going to.
Thanks!

Please show us all that you’re talking about, as per the advice above please redact personal details but not dates and times.

If you ignore a N1SDT county court claim you will get a judgement in default made against you and a recorded CCJ if you do not pay which will affect credit etc.

You need to file a defence or Acknowledgement of Service within 14+5 days of the date on the N1SDT claim form. If you file an AoS you have a further 14 days before you have to file your defence.

If you want good advice, in addition to the N1SDT form we need to see the original notice sent to you, and your story of what the driver did at the time.
