You keep saying "your covered", does the email say that or does it say "you're covered" two different meanings. Yes I know I'm being pedantic but it makes a lot of difference in legal matters.

In that case why was the February payment not taken? How about the March payment? Don't waste your money on lawyers, the court outcome will be the samel

3
Did you look at the Saga statement you mentioned?  Wne did your road tax expire?

It's all Greek to me. Nothing has been the same since they stopped teaching children Roman numerals. In fact I'm LIVID!

The prescribed manner is that the blue badge must be displayed where it can be read, do not display the photo side, and you must set the cardboard clock upon arrival to the arrival time.

An update on this one, no surprise, the appeal was "considered" and refused.  My partner was about to pay it when I asked if I could read the letter. it rambled on about the appeal system,  that the liability was down to the owner not the driver, but, in this particular case the penalty charge was being withdrawn.

I suspect they bottled out when faced with someone who is not gullible fruit. I'll scan and post the letter later on.

GSV and location would be helpful.

Likely to be 3 points and £100 fixed penalty notice. What van were you driving?

It's possible to get an MoT up to 4 weeks before the expiry of the current one. Is the bike insured would be more of a worry.
It's actually possible to get an MoT at any time.

The significance of the 4-week window is that your new certificate will be valid for a year from the expiry of the previous one.
Thanks, that is what I was meaning to get across.

I'm one of those lucky ones who has a few pre-1960 preserved buses. They've been test exempt for a number of years now as well as being zero rod tax. The initial amendment to the "exempt vehicles" list was a simple one-line amendment along the lines of "any vehicle built or first registered before 1t January 1960". That includes buses used for hire and reward/PSV use which some people felt was quit worrying. when I mentioned this to the local Traffic Commissioner a few years back she said that was quite alright as any bus used on an operators licence would be included on the operator's planned maintainence scheme.

I've not seen the latest amandements, but this suggests they will have been brought
into line with EU regulations and exepmtions.

Is it a secret?

Yes, that's my view too, hence the request to the OP to get a google street view.

I suspect the courts take a more serious view of professional drivers breaking the law. I know driving these days is a nightmare with the plethora of signs and poor traffic management systems designed to reduce casualties, most of which do anything but that.

I suggest you be more aware of speed limits in future or you'll be of the rod for 6 months and your PH licencing office will be taking a look at revoking your licence. Make sure you inform them of your current status, if they find out via other methods they can revoke your PH licence. Double jeopardy I'm sorry to say.

Can you send a location with google street view otherwise we're working in the dark.
