I've been a member of FTLA (& previously another similar forum of old) for a good number of years now and have only benefitted from the time, wisdom & encouragement of members schooled in all things 'traffic' who give generously of their free time and knowledge to help other forum members.
It feels important and like a good time for me to de-lurk from the shadows to say a heartfelt 'thank you' to those members and moderators who help the hordes of people who find themselves facing unexpected and scary consequences as drivers and/or road and car park users.
I'm confident that forum members advice here has been fundamental to my family members avoiding catastrophic situations on numerous occasions; from a 'totting up' driving ban to parking tickets with hefty price tags from unscrupulous car parking operators.
I would love for these forum members to know how much their kindness is appreciated:
Your advice doesn't just help the forum members - like myself - who don't have anything useful to contribute but who visit for help. But also their wider networks of family, friends and colleagues.
I'm sure if we knew the real number of 'silent beneficiaries' of the FTLA forum experts we'd all be amazed.
I'd like to thank and make special mention of DWMB2.
His advice regarding Manchester Airport bylaws is (of course) brilliant, and after following his guidance and submitting his template letter he can add our familys cancellation of the PCN issued to his list of successes.
Thank you so much DWMB2
And thank you to every single member who has helped - and continues to help - so many souls (like myself) who just wouldn't have a clue otherwise.
I'm sure I speak for many when I say, you have our respect and gratitude.
Thank you to all.
