Hi, I'm wondering if I should be posting previous successful appeals for the records?

For example I had three Bexley Council PCN's for three different HGV's on different days, parking on Hailey Rd (an industrial estate road) overnight. They were for supposedly parked in contravention of: A commercial vehicle parked in a restricted street in contravention of the Overnight Waiting Ban. But there are no sign posts on or around Hailey Rd for this prohibition. Instead, they have relied on No Waiting for commercial vehicle (coaches and HGV's over 5 tonne) zone signs that apply midnight-8am, 8pm -midnight and are located, according to the council, on all roads into Bexley. The sign posts they claim are on the perimeter of the borough, and no repeaters are necessary to enforce this in the entire 64km² area of Bexley according to them.

First PCN was dealt with by a colleague, but then I got this job to do and dealt with the other 2. First one was paid. The 2 I dealt with were accepted after I made complaints to the council and made an information requests to find out about this supposed prohibition that I, nor any driver had any idea about. They told me the Traffic Order has been in place since the 70's, yet it is still not adequately sign posted, nor is there any mention of it on their parking page on the council site. They sent me a picture of 1 of the sign posts. But anyway, the council cancelled them as a "gesture of goodwill".

I later obtained dashcam footage showing the route taken into Bexley, which showed there isn't even the borough perimeter signs that they insist our driver must have passed and that they rely on to enforce this.

I complained to the council again. They still insisted the driver must have passed a sign despite video evidence to the contrary. But they refunded the £110 paid for the first PCN, again, as a "gesture of goodwill".

That's 3 "gestures of goodwill" they did for me, how kind 🙄
