Hiya all.

I'm not sure if anyone can help me with this one. I received a letter saying I hadn't paid 4.92 of petrol. I thought this was strange as I would never put this amount in and I always obviously pay for my fuel. I went to check my bank account and I had made a payment for 35.08. The cashier didn't say how much and I just tapped my card. I'd actually put 40.00 and I thought I had paid and went away. I emailed them back and said I did pay but they didn't charge me the correct amount. They came back with it was mistake amd i had somehow paid for the wrong pump but is your responsibility to pay for your fuel. I said I thought I had done and I would be happy to pay for the fuel. However they charged me 30.00 fine which has now doubled to 60.00 and I just don't know what to do. The cashier obviously put in the pump number wrong. Any advice would be gratefully received. I keep replying saying I did pay my fuel I did not drive off and they keep replying saying the fines still stand. I've got a statement showing that I did pay 35.08.

Try telling us the facts without the histrionics. Such as which court issued the fine.

I am responsible for the accuracy of the information I post, not your ability to comprehend it.

I find it difficult to follow your copies on here, but you have NOT been fined, only courts nd local councils can fine you. Don't worry about any threats of county court judgement, that can only happen if they take you to court, they win, and you don't pay. Otherwise
they'll just keep issuing threats hoping you'll pay up.

It would help all of us if you can re-post your letter using the link mentioned above.
