Author Topic: TNC Collections PCN x2, parked without permission from landowner, Royal Oak pub, south ockendon  (Read 1519 times)

Hello all,
Received not 1 but 2 PCNs from a private company asking for £170 each without any reminders. Both PCNs have same date and time stamp but different reference numbers.

This was in a pub, no lights in parking so even if there were any signs, I wouldn't have seen them. Neither did the bartender say anything.

Not my first time going to the pub either. It must be something new that they've started.

Had difficulty uploading on imgur as couldnt set up account.

It’s a begging letter from professional writers of begging letters! In fact you don’t reply to bottom feeders at all.

More importantly why didn’t you get the original notices? Are you the registered keeper? Is the V5c address correct (don’t assume, CHECK)?

Please modify your post inline with the instructions not to give away driver ID in this post.

There are motorists who have been scammed and those who are yet to be scammed!

Hi. No idea why I didnt get the original notice. Yes im the registered keeper, V5c address is correct and i was the driver.
what driver id are you referring to pls

Have you gone back to the pub and asked the landlord why their patrons are being invoiced by a third party for £100 a pop? Always try the landowner first.

Otherwise, as already advised, you do not communicate with vermin debt collectors who have no power to do anything.

If/when you ever get a Letter of Claim (LoC) coke back and tell us. It may never happen. The debt collectors are simply hoping that you are low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree and will pay up out of ignorance. Don’t pay.

Gotcha. I spoke to the pub owner and she's like I can't do anything. Probably taking a share lool. Thanks for the advise. I'll get back if I get another letter.

What's more likely is that the landlord has signed a rubbish contract that prevents them from getting the parking company to cancel charges.

Hello all,

please see new letter "intention to instruct solicitors to commence legal action"

https://ibb.co/stHg8Ts

File and ignore. It's a Letter of Claim from said solicitors that you need to look out for.

Only the parking company, Ezee Park can “instruct” solicitors to initiate “legal action”. TNC are simply debt collectors who have no skin in the game and are trying to scare you into paying out of ignorance.

If/when EzeePark want to litigate, they will instruct a firm of roboclaim solicitors to send you a Letter of Claim (LoC) which will give you 30 days to pay or respond. Anything that gives you less than 30 days to pay is not and cannot be an LoC.

THC are not solicitors.

As advised above, file and ignore.

Thank you both for the advise.
Funny they gave 7 days to pay and when I got the letter, it was already past 7 days!!!

Hello all,
Just received another letter demanding payment within 7 days to TNC Collections.

"Prior to the determination at the Supreme Court in the case of Parking Eye vs Beavis in 2015, there was a general misunderstanding that parking charges were not recoverable, however, Judges in this case concluded that as long as the charges were brought to the attention of the motorist and that the charges were not unreasonable, the charges were recoverable in civil law"

In view of this we require that the above amount is fully paid within the next 7 days

If it is not paid within that time legal proceedings could be commenced against you without further notice. Such claim will include an increase in the amount being claimed as interest, court fees and legal costs will be added."

Please advise.
Thank you

This advice has not changed.

Hello,

Just received a letter of claim. Please advise what to do next. Thank you

So show it if you want advice. Which firm issued it and does it comply with the PAPDC?
