Hello,
I've read the first page and would be grateful for any advice.
A few days ago, my son who is out of the country, as the registered keeper of the vehicle, received a PCN for overstaying in ASDA's car park.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/14eEJC656mLW15r_uTPl673okI3zGp3-s/view?usp=drive_linkIt appears as though his car was there for 3hr 41mins between 20.19 and 00.00. The store is open 24hr. The back of the PCN states that a charge is applicable if you stay longer than the 3hr max.
The signage is plentiful albeit small and as it was dark not easily readable, something I've checked since receiving the PCN.
Their photographic evidence is almost entirely black, except for the vehicle's headlights, and the registration plate - I'm not sure if they intentionally obscur the rest of the image, or that is just all of the evidence they have. The car is white, but the reg on display is his plate.
If it was my son driving, its possible and probable, he was there with a girl and parked up for a while and I'm unsure whether he used the store or not.
I've also read that many people have ignored PCNs from ParkingEye and got away with it, but I'm not sure how risky this is.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
In years gone by I have appealed against PCNs and gone to POPLA but unsure if the process is changed.
Thank you.
