Hello all. I hope we're not going to fry too much today
We have a new parking scheme at M&S, Ricky which became effective in March. We are allowed 1 hour parking and have to obtain a free car park ticket which we have to scan at a machine before driving out. Scheme run by Euro Car Parks. I pretty much knew that it would only be a matter of time before I would forget to do this one day, even though yesterday i had the ticket to scan from the cashier. That in itself was incredible as I was at least able to be served by a human rather than the normal self-service machines!
I had to visit elderly relatives in Surrey and didn't realise until i was long off-site and far away. On my return last night I went back to the car park. The scan machine was still on, and validated my ticket. Unfortunately it didn't recognise my Reg No, so had to enter it all in. Normally as you type it in, the screen recognises and produces the full number below the cursor which you just tap on to confirm. I thought that by going back to the machine, the same day and validating it, albeit too late, might help any appeal. Is it worth contacting Euro Car Parks to make a representation (Obviously as the Registered Keeper on behalf of the driver)? I spent almost £20 and still have the receipt. Thanks in advance.
