I want some advice on the next steps to take.
I received a PCN from Premier Parking Solutions carpark in Hope Cove.
The company is claiming the driver paid to park for 2 hours and overstayed for 58 minutes.
The driver was charged £4 and has proof of the payment, unfortunately, they don't have the ticket that was displayed on the windscreen. The driver should have been charged £2.80 and not £4! To park for three hours, the price is £4.20. They stated they offer a 10-minute grace period, which means the amount paid covers the duration of the time spent in the car park. A statement can be provided for the other people who were also parking at the same time and who were charged £4.20
Can I also add, I am the keeper and was not the driver at the time.
I have appealed, and the first appeal rejected. I appealed again to ias, they also rejected my appeal.
I have since emailed PPS asking for an explanation as to why the driver have been charged £4 when it should have been £4.20, and why on their computer it is showing the driver paid to park for 2 hours when they should have been charged £2.80, I have yet to receive a reply two weeks later..
Something does not add up, and I feel their ticket machines are faulty to catch people out, resulting in them making lots of money issuing fines and rejecting appeals!
I don't know where to go next with this. I refuse to pay the fine of £100 when the amount the driver was charged covers them for the time spent in the car park!
