Free Traffic Legal Advice

Received the PCN attached for stopping at a red route. The location mentioned is a EV charging point that is a 1 single bay). I pulled in to the bay for less than 45 seconds ( 3 pictures shared by TFL are within 35 seconds of each other)  to let a passenger out without realising this was a EV charging point only. I didn't notice the bay  turning in as It is  very much immediate as you make a turn, and  I need to focus on oncoming traffic from other direction. There is  very little time to notice given the tree trunk and foliage of the tree and traffic coming from other direction to merge. Better pictures from the TFL page attached. I moved immediately as I noticed the bay, but now realise that's not quick enough.

Couple of questions,
1.  can I quote the tree trunk,  foliage obscuring the board and lack of clear view due to insufficient approach time?

2. Should this have been PCN code 14 and not 46? Is this an angle to challenge?
Appreciate any advise . If I'm at fault then I'm happy to swallow the pride and pay.

Yes, it was less than 45 seconds and as soon as I stopped the passenger got off... they didn't really wait for my permission it anything. 

Understood. Would the PCN code actually be 46? I also realise they have 14 for specifically the EV charger parking.

Thank you. Is there an angle for appeal at all here? 80 pounds for a 30 second stop seems excessive. The charging point marking is also at a major merging point between 3 different roads, so one has to always watch the incoming traffic which makes it almost impossible for anyone to read a sign looking at the opposite side to the incoming traffic.
Appreciate if there are any other views here.

The road marking is clear. It is also white which means that the exemption applies for the same period as the RR prohibition at that location. The preceding RR has DRL markings. The upright sign is placed behind you and IMO you would not have been able to read it without either reversing the car or getting out. You did neither.

On these facts I could not see an adjudicator finding other than you stopped for the purpose of letting someone alight which is not an exemption to the restriction.

What is the new latest date for submission of your reps

Any other thoughts on this? My only genuine argument is the angle of approach, presence of tree and foliage during approach and the busy merging traffic which means it's difficult to notice the sign at that point of entry into the street. If that's not good enough then I should probably pay up.
Would appreciate any reference for the appeal letter.

It's worth putting in reps on the wrong location issue, but don't expect them to roll over and cancel; you'd have to take them to London Tribunals for an unbiased decision. GSV confirms you are correct on the street name.
