Pcn recevied car moved but no sign was up
« on: »
A long story short. I live in the Notting hill area. Notting carnival happens every year and residents have to remove cars the night before the Sunday that carnival starts. On Saturday afternoon I received a curtesy call to remind me to move my car.

I have been doing this every year for the last 20 years, so I am all to familiar with the restrictions.

Saturday night I  moved my car to a pay and display space as there was defiantly was not a restriction up.

I received a phone call Monday morning to say car has been pounded and moved to a parking permit space further down the road, and a £55 ticket  is on the car.

I go to the pay and display where car was parked and there is now a restriction notice up not even tied properly. (I have pictures)The restriction was from the 23rd of August until the 27th. (I got the ticket on the Monday 26th)

I don't know where to start with contesting the ticket as I have never done this.

I was hoping if is was able to get some help.

Thanks

From your description this sounds like a council matter rather than a parking charge notice issued by a private parking company. On that basis I have moved your thread to the council forum.

To ensure you receive the best advice, read the following thread carefully, and update your post to include the required information: READ THIS FIRST - **BEFORE POSTING YOUR CASE!**, This section is for council, TFL, Dart/Mersey/Tyne etc. cases

We need to see the PCN.

That the car was relocated and not impounded suggests they were aware you are a resident and maybe had been in a space usually OK.

But why did you put the car on a pay bay and not a residents bay.

In the Royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea, you are able to park in pay and display if you have a resident parking permit 8.30 am until 9.30 am, and 17.30pm. Also 13.00pm on Saturday through to Monday.

I was going to move it on Tuesday morning.

The royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea for not have zones.

Please post up the PCN. Don't redact anything.
And also a Google Street View of the P&D bay where the car was parked. And a GSV of where it was moved to.
