Hello all,

I have received a PCN from Brent Borough today for entering and stopping in the box junction when prohibited. I don't remember this happening. The photographic evidence that has been provided on the PCN doesn't seem to be showing much, I am not sure myself that I actually did stop on the box, please see the attached - my car is a white car, the right photo shows my car captured just before the yellow box and the other photo is completely dark. Therefore, I cannot see the proof of the contravention. Should I request additional evidence by challenging the evidence they have provided? Or should I assume they have used accurate means to capture the contravention (available to them, even though they cannot clearly present it to me) and pay the charge?

Thanks a million in advance!

Many thanks for your speedy response. I have updated my original post to contain the required info - hope I've included everything.

So, if they have a video then they probably can see more than I can see....

Many thanks again!

Have you looked at the evidence online?  There is a video which shows fairly clearly the sequence of events that leads up to the stop in the box junction.

The only thing I can see which is in your favour is that the side of the box junction you stop within extends a bit further than is necessary, but I'm not sure if this is enough to beat the PCN on its own.

I am having issues viewing the evidence, I get a message:  There was a problem encountered during the processing of your recent Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) request, please check that the PCN number and vehicle registration mark details supplied are accurate and retry. Alternatively please contact the Local Authority / issuing body for further assistance.

But looks like I was in the wrong and need to pay.

by the way, were you able to see it from the same website?

Many thanks for your time

Don't give up just yet! You've got several days before the discount expires.  Another poster might think of something to bolster your case.

Here's the video:

Painful to watch the video - someone decided to park just up the road and suddenly blocked the flow. Ouch

I'll wait to hear any final opinions before I cough up  :'(

Thank you!
