Haringey - Pelham Road N22 - one way
« on: June 07, 2024, 03:07:35 pm »
Entered this one way street without seeing the one way signs, and did a U-turn a few metres in and exited.

Any representation to be made here? Not clear what the first image was supposed to show (only the VRN was visible).

@oshkosh as per the guidance here, please re-post the PCN redacting only your name and address. Without the missing information we have nothing to work with so we cannot give you any meaningful advice.
I practice law in the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, London Tribunals, the First-tier tribunal for Scotland, and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal for Northern Ireland, but I am not a solicitor nor a barrister. Notwithstanding this, I voluntarily apply the cab rank rule. I am a member of the Society of Professional McKenzie Friends, my membership number is FM193.

@oshkosh this is nice and simple:

Dear London Borough of Haringey,

Having viewed the CCTV footage, there is no evidence that the driver would have passed any arrow on a blue sign, therefore the contravention is not made out.

Yours faithfully,

Send the representation via the council website and take a screenshot of the confirmation page.

Response today from Haringey:

Thank you for writing to us.
Although your PCN was correctly issued, we have cancelled it on this occasion.
Please be advised that the Penalty Charge Notice has been cancelled because we have not responded to
your representations within the statutory time frame of 56 days.
If you get another PCN in similar circumstances, we may decide not to cancel it.

Hmmm, how convenient.
