26mph in a 20mph – first NIP

Hi, first time I’ve received one of these so just looking for a bit of advice.

I’ve received an NIP from the Met for doing 26mph in a 20mph. It was a police officer at the roadside using a handheld speed gun/mobile camera.

I know I was 6mph over the limit, but before I respond I just wondered if there’s anything on the notice or about the circumstances that I should be checking, or whether it all looks pretty standard?

I did a speed awareness course with Thames Valley Police back in 2022, but nothing since then.

Thanks for any advice.

If you weren't stopped at the time and you're the Registered Keeper then did the notice arrive within 14 days?

In terms of content they issue thousands of them so if there was any generic deficiency then it would be well known.  But assuming the location is correct then you appear to be looking at 3 points and £100.
