Bus Lane/normal lane coned off

Hello

I haven't received a PCN but would be interested in hearing views on whether I am likely to be able to challenge a PCN if I get one. Key facts:

- I was driving somewhere where normally there is a bus lane (applies at all times) on the left and a lane for other traffic on the right. It's somewhere I drive maybe twice a year.
- I drove there today and the lane for other traffic was coned off so I couldn't drive in the normal lane.  I was therefore forced into the bus lane.
- The coning wasn't signposted in advance.  Had I known/had it been signposted, I could have gone an alternative way. Once I was on the bus lane, there wasn't a way off (normally there would be a right hand turn but this would involve going through the coned off lane and this was also coned off.
- Didn't see any signs saying the bus lane was suspended.

Any advice very much appreciated. Thank you.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.
