Parking on the pavements outside shops
« on: »
I Don’t know if anyone can recall, it was on Pepipoo, but these was an issue with someone parking on the pavement outside their shop.

The issue was that the pavement outside their shop was considered private and belonged to the shops but, but that cars would have to drive over the council part of the pavement to get to the shop.

Can anyone tell me what was the outcome?

There was indeed a few case like that on the old site and I can't remember the outcome. There was the well-publicised case of a Mayfair resident parking his moped across the pavement on his own property. It was judged that he was liable to pay the PCN as the small bit of his land in front of his premises was accessible to the public. No doubt someone with a better memory than me will be along with more memories.
Bus driving since 1973. My advice, if you have a PSV licence, destroy it when you get to 65 or you'll be forever in demand.

Thank you ever so much for this, I've now emailed the Council and included these two links.
