Phew, a close on this afternoon, "the driver" parked my car on DYL in Folkestone while I popped into the chip shop about 50 yards away to place a quick order. I have a blue badge and that was clearly displayed. But then noticed the blips on the kerb! The chip shop was quickly done and went back to the car as quick as I could move which is not at the moment very easy due to a trapped nerve in my leg!
About 2 car lengths away I saw the ominous figure of the local Civil Enforcement Officer doing a quick march down the street towards my car. I shouted out to him and he stopped in his tracks. He said something like "you got a blue badge, you should know the rules, I should give you this ticket". He didn't so I got in the car and made a hasty retreat. He wandered off up the street and booked someone else. He certainly couldn't have made a 2 minute observation. Let's wait and see.
