Delete thread and account
« on: »
Hi,

Does anybody know how I delete a thread I started and how I can delete my account?

I don’t understand why there isn’t a simple delete button. I also can’t find information regarding this.

Any help will be appreciated.

You can’t. It’s entirely at the discretion of the administrators (i.e. CP and I). As a general rule, threads aren’t deleted just because they’ve come to an end, because they can be useful for others in a similar situation. Likewise, user accounts aren’t generally deleted - just don’t log in.

I would like my thread to be deleted because I provided my PCN number and VRM and realised that my personal email is on display as people can check. Therefore, I would like my thread to be deleted. I did PM you earlier and linked the thread there. Thanks.

There is a Modify button top right of every post you make, you could just use that to delete them instead of making a big fuss!

There’s no modify button on that thread only ‘qoute.’ Whereas on this thread there is a modify button. Why is that?

After a certain amount of time users are locked from modifying their posts.

I see. Either way I have a legit reason for wanting my thread to be deleted. I have messaged your fellow administrator too so hopefully you can delete it soon would really appreciate it!

I’ve already removed the links to Google drive from your posts.

Messaging another admin won’t get you a different result, that’s not how it works.

Thanks for deleting that but I my concern was the the VRM and PCN. With that information people can view my personal email via tracking on the TfL website. Please can you delete my comment where I mention my VRM and PCN?
