Do MET Police Act on Dashcam Footage?

I've recently noticed an increase in aggressive/dangerous driving in my neighborhood. The other day I witnessed an impatient driver carry out a dangerous manoeuvre at a junction which I captured on my dashcam.

My question is how likely are the police to act on such footage. Am I wasting my time or do they take these things seriously. I usually wouldn't bother, but this is becoming an increasing problem in my area and something has to change.

Cycling Mikey submits footage to the Met regularly. These are largely for mobile phone offences, where the burden of proof is fairly clear cut. You can submit footage alleging careless or even dangerous driving. But these are somewhat more subjective, so what you consider to be careless driving may not reach the bar that the person reviewing the footage may be working to. But there is nothing stopping you from trying.

Although I don’t believe the Met use operation snap as other forces do. They have their own portal to report driving offences.

I reported someone driving on the pavement.  That was a couple of months ago, i haven't heard anything since.

I live in the Durham area and they do use the SNAP online program.
I have submitted three dashcam incidents to them and they have notified me on every occasion that they would action all three, all going through red lights.

I reported someone for flying through a junction on red, they didn't answer the s172 and got 6 points, they already had 6 points so they won a six month ban as well.

I just bought a front and rear system in the apparent hope it would reduce my insurance. I'll be using it. But not driving near Brent or Norfolk.  ;D

I found that fitting a dashcam (and declaring as such for insurance quotes) had a negligible effect on my premium.

When it did save me a potentially considerable amount of money was when I was able to use the footage from it to demonstrate I was not at fault for a minor collision I was involved in a while back.
