No points received after a guilty SJP for speeding
« on: »
I was caught speeding in October (50 in a 40). I received the NIP in the post and submitted my details, somewhere along the way they didn't receive enough information from me (I paid the fine and also submitted my details as this was given as evidence by them with my SJP - so I guess I missed another letter somewhere?). Anyway, I pled guilty to the SJP and explained the situation, that I had paid the fine to accept points and had at no point tried to ignore the NIP.
The magistrate reviewed it and I got a guilty verdict by post and a fine of £100 which I have also paid (they refunded the intial fine).

My question is - I have not received any points and on no paperwork does it state anything about points (neither on SJP or the result of court case). Have I got lucky? Or should I expect them to appear at some point?

Offence date 15/10/24
SJP dated 19/3/25
The result of court case was dated 7/5/25

Check your driving licence online.
Bus driving since 1973. My advice, if you have a PSV licence, destroy it when you get to 65 or you'll be forever in demand.
