Hello,
I received a PCN from UKPC for overstaying parking at their parking site in Gallions Reach, Beckton. The PCN mentions that customers can park for up to 4 hours and apparently we were parked there for 4 hours and 16 minutes. We did go to Gallions Reach, we had lunch, went to a few shops to buy toys and and other items and when it got late we grabbed a bite for the children for their dinner. I don't recall ever seeing signs that said there was a 4 hour time limit but regardless we spent a lot of money visiting the shopping centre and this is quite a slap in the face.
I see their was a thread on someone experiencing this earlier in the year here and I was wondering if I should just copy/paste the letter that B789 suggested? I tried to look at the images on this thread about the signage but I was unable to view the images, something about the images were unavailable to the UK location.
https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/ukpc-parking-pcn-overstay-gallions-reach-shopping-park-beckton/UKPC have an online appeals process, so I was wondering if I just use this form and in the description field if I just post the letter that B789 suggested? Also in the online appeals form, they have a drop-down menu option to say that the Appeals Reason is Genuine Customer, so I was wondering if I should use that or if it implicates me unnecessarily.
I will upload pictures of the PCN and the UKPC appeals form soon, but I just found out that imgur.com is no longer useable from the UK so I need to find another free site to use to upload the pictures so please bear with me. I received the PCN with a date of the 13th Nov, so I need to put in an appeal today to stay within the 14 day grace period for the discounted amount if I am not mistaken.
Thank you
