Thank you for your kind sentiments and for your reply. I'm not sure if my submission was within the 28 days, it was on Monday, 14th June although the outstanding balance online was still at the discounted rate when I submitted and still is as of tonight. I do now have email confirmation that the appeal has been received. I'm also hoping that the intervention of the Aldi manager may still cancel the charge. I still don't understand  the sending of a reminder though, I thought they just remove the discount after 14 days.

Do you know why my images are not displaying and is there any way these can be displayed as in my original post, please?

I can now update this post by telling you that I went onto the Parking Eye Website and see that the outstanding charge is now 00.00.

There was no details on the site how this came about so I searched my emails and received an email informing me that the PCN has been cancelled. So the chat with the manager at Aldi clearly paid off.
