I responded approximately 1-2 weeks ago.
I incidentally had a call from DCB Legal a few days ago asking to settle for the original cost of the fine.

Is this normal?

Yes.
We advise you to hang up, block their number.
It’s part of the process that normally leads to discontinuation, before which they try and get some money out of you rather than the £0 they will end up with.

There are plenty of documented examples on the forum which are easily found if you can be bothered.

Hi Jfollows,

OK - I did speak to them but said I wouldnt accept the offer unless it was £0.
They then outright asked me if I was driving which I must admit almost tripped me up - very confusing question?

The reason why we advise never talking to them is exactly this, there is nothing to your advantage and everything to your disadvantage by doing so. It sounds like no harm done this time.
