Response to letter of claim email
« on: »
Hi,

I challenged a letter of claim using a template provided on this site and the attached email is the response I've had from DCB Legal.

They sent photos of my car and printouts of the signage and a map of the site.

I can prove I was in the tile shop the day of the alleged offence with a date stamped photo inside the store.

Any further advice would he appreciated.

As I can't see the option to attach a PDF of the email, I've copied it below:

Dear XXXXX,

DCB Legal challenge to my letter of claim response
« Reply #6 on: »
Hi,

I'm reposting an updated version of this post with some extra details and as I didn't receive a response to first one.

I challenged a letter of claim from DCB Legal using a template provided on this site and the attached email is the response I've had from DCB Legal, where they still wish to pursue the claim:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HP_nyJK0dC_nEa2LBbS3Dtxj3Dd7HahX/view?usp=drivesdk

As their evidence, they also sent photos of my car and printouts of the signage and a map of the site.

I can prove I was in the tile shop the day of the alleged offence with a date stamped photo inside the store and a Google review posted a few days afterwards. While it appears there signage may have been adequate, which I didn't notice it, however, there is also poor signage at the front of the store.

Do I ignore or challenge? Any further advice would he appreciated.

Does this relate to any of your existing threads?

Yes but they didn't receive replies and I've added more info to this post.

I have merged this with your existing thread. Please refamilarise yourself with our House Rules, and do not start multiple threads for the same case. This is a busy forum run entirely by volunteers giving their free time to help, and if everyone did that it would be unmanageable.

It's been less than 24 hours since you last updated the thread, respectfully we cannot guarantee, nor should you expect, immediate responses.

The next step will be for them to issue a claim, which, if defended, is likely to be discontinued. Can you show us what you wrote to them in respect of their Letter of Claim?

It would also be useful to know if you have engaged in any prior correspondence with the parking company, via appeals etc.

Hi,

Thanks for merging the posts - much appreciated.

I have an old post that didn't receive a reply, so wasn't sure if sometimes they can get missed or expire.

I appreciate it's free advice, which is very helpful.

This is my old post:

I'll provide an update on the case in my next message on this thread.

Hi again,

This was my response to the letter of claim (that was provided as a template in the thread linked in my last message):

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1I5PbPNq84FYa2Hg-7iYnWsGIpeU3PXsO/view?usp=drivesdk

I've not disputed this case at any point but as mentioned can prove I was a shopper that day.

What do you mean you are required to respond in a few days? You have sen the response to the LoC and the ball is now in their court.

You are waiting for their response to that email.
