Subject: Re: [Your ref: ______] – Security checks / Response to Letter of Claim dated [dd/mm/yyyy]

Dear Sirs,

You sent a Letter of Claim dated [dd/mm/yyyy] to my postal address . I responded by email lin full on [dd/mm/yyyy]. For ease, I attach that response again. Please process it.

Your latest email demands that I “pass security checks” by supplying my address, postcode and vehicle registration. No. You already hold these details (you used them to send the LoC and identify the vehicle). The Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims contains no requirement for a consumer to repeat personal data before a response will be considered. Treat this email as a reiteration of my substantive response and deal with it.

Correspondence: All pre-action correspondence from Moorside must be by email to this address. For the avoidance of doubt, I do not consent to service of a claim form or any proceedings documents by email. If you issue via MCOL, service will be effected by the court in the usual way by post to the address already on your file.

Data minimisation: Do not solicit or process fresh personal data you do not need. If you believe any detail on your file is unclear, state what you hold and I will confirm accuracy if required.

Next steps: Please provide a substantive reply addressing each point raised in my attached response and supply the documents requested, in accordance with the Protocol, within 14 days. If you refuse to consider my response unless I indulge your “security checks”, I will place this email before the court as evidence of unreasonable conduct and reserve the right to seek costs under CPR 27.14(2)(g).

Yours faithfully,

[Name]
