Back in 2020 i apparently I and over my time in parking company smart parking at time my mum was dying so wasn’t at home to receive mail and I would never intentionally not pay or go over my time
now six years later recieved court claim did submit AOL but apparently late but I did not recieve the letter to respond until 2/7/26
Now they have sent this this week !

I am so stressed as now have a CCJ what do I do ??

Pay within 30 days of the date of the judgment and make sure the CCJ is then removed from your record.


You can alternatively ask the court to set aside the judgment but even if they do it will cost >£300 with no guarantee of being able to recoup the money, and the court is unlikely to agree to this anyway because it’s essentially your fault, unless you can show a problem with the original service of the court claim which you imply was OK, you just didn’t respond in time. You have 14+5 days from the date on the N1SDT form to file the AoS.
