Parking Charge Notice issued in Inverness
« on: »
Hi all,

New to this forum, we've just received a parking charge notice in the post dated 23/08 for an offence on the 14th so it has been issued within the 14 days so can't challenge on that basis

The driver on the day parked on the 14th of August, and remembers putting the reg number into the P&D machine.  But cant for the life of them find that P&D ticket.

They had to go to 3 separate machines in the car park to get a ticket so suspect that their must have been a fault with their system on the day

If they were to make a challenge on the basis that they had made payment for parking and that there must be a problem with their system what is the likely hood of the challenge being successful?

Any advise from anyone will be greatly appreciated

Can we see the notice the keeper has received?

I assume the incident happened in Scotland, do you live there too? There's currently no keeper liability in Scotland.

Edit that last post! Do not reveal who the driver is. All of my questions were about the registered keeper. The parking company don't know who the driver is, neither should we.

Only one page of the notice has uploaded.

Once you've edited your post, the keeper could reply to the parking company along the lines of the below:
Dear Sirs,

I have received your parking charge notice _____ for vehicle registration mark _____. I am the registered keeper of the vehicle. I note that your alleged claim is against the driver, not the keeper. There is no obligation for me to name the driver and I will not be doing so. Because I as the registered keeper have no liability for this charge, I am unable to help you further, and look forward to confirmation that the charge has been cancelled.

Yours faithfully,
