Hi I have received a fine from parkmaven. At the time I was on holiday abroad and my car was in the 'care' of an airport car parking company who operate from a section of the Holiday Inn Heathrow M4 Jnct4, the hotel is also where the fine is issued for. Although the parking company say they have initiated cancelling the fine the parkmaven link shows no record of this and I don't trust the parking company (they were very dodgy). I am not sure if I should use the transfer laibility or appeal option. Could someone give me some guidance please. Thank You.

Please give us more information, following https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/read-this-first-private-parking-charges-forum-guide/

And please understand it’s not a fine, it’s an invoice for payment which can be disputed under contract law.

It would be helpful to provide some more detail here. Showing us the Parking Charge Notice would be useful.

It would also be good to flesh out the story a bit - e.g.:

  • Date and rough time the car was dropped off with the airport parking company
  • Date and rough time the car was collected

You mention that the parking company are 'dodgy' - what about their conduct gave you this impression (other than you receiving a PCN)? Have you spoken to the Holiday Inn to check they have permission to use their land?
