Just bumping this topic. Registered keeper never received a reply from moorside following email to them. Registered keeper has now changed address.

Should registered keeper will contact them to advise. Shoukd registered keeper ask for an update or acknowledgment of previous email? Or just mention the address change?

Thanks

Whatever else you do, you must send a Data Rectification Notice to the Data Protection Officer at both Alliance Parking and Moorside Legal instructing them to update their records with your current valid address for service and to erase your old address.

If you do not do this you risk proceedings against you at your old address resulting in a default judgement against you.

Out of interest - still not heard anything from Moorside since replying to them in September. Is this a normal waiting period? How long do they have to act upon the charge?

Registered keeper emailed Alliance and Moorside in February about address change.

Email said

“ FAO Data Protection Officer

Registered keeper <Registered keeper name> has moved address.

Please erase old address - <old address>

Update with - <new address>

Since email, letter received from Alliance Parking to old address which states “We are writing regarding the attached parking charge, as the registered keeper has identified you as the person responsible for the vehicle at the time of the event”.

It then requests £100 charge and has also attached the original notice to the keeper letter from July 2024.

Any advice appreciated.

Not sure when the registered keeper has named the driver.

Are they just trying to say that to force a payment?

Thanks

Unless you have reason to think that the registered keeper has named the driver, I’d simply reply to their letter refuting their statements and repeating your demands for them to use the correct address for service.

They’re probably just incompetent, but you should have a record of correcting them.

Alternatively, they’re trying to trick you into identifying the driver.

Thanks for getting back

Registered keeper checked back to correspondence. Clearly stated in change of address request that.

“ Registered keeper <name> has moved address.”

The letter offers settlement at £60. But suspect that isn’t valid given that it’s dated from 2024.

Would you advise still pushing back? Given its nearly two years now, would you expect the case to be dropped or progressed further soon?

Not hear anything from moorside since registered keeper replied to them in September 2025.

Thanks again
