Good evening,

Note I am the registered owner of the vehicle. Seeking advice.

Note: I am the registered owner of the vehicle in question.

The driver received a letter detailing that they have been fined for “exceeding maximum stay period”.  The situation: the driver parked in a tesco car park on the 1st of February (Sunday) at 12:16 (as they have on record via the cctv camera identifying the divers car). The driver went shopping, then left.  The maximum period there is 3 hours, but as the driver has a  receipt from the store showing via the bank app, the driver paid at 12:26, then left the store and the car park.

The driver returned (on the same day) at 20:03, they didn’t enter the Tesco car park, and instead went to the Tesco petrol station. There the driver paid for petrol and left immediately (again with a bank payment at that time as proof). This should constitute a “double dip” error.

The car park has free for 3 hours maximum stay (2 on specific event days). And no returns within 1 hour.

For possible evidence; the driver does not have Google Maps or time line of the trip, however. After the initial shopping the driver returned to drivers apartment. Whereupon they need to call to open the barrier to the car park, so has proof of the call at 12:36.
The driver was issued with this fine on the 9th, but only received the letter today.l (16/02).

The driver wishes to appeal and not pay this fine.

The images below detail the fine and the and Horizons current evidence. The other image is taken from Google Maps showing the rules and regulations of the car park.

Any help would be appreciated greatly thank you.
