Horizons parking ticket informal rejection
« on: »
hello any advice would be appreciated

i followed guidance on money saving expert on what to write for a appeal of a horizon pcn. i got this at a park car park. the signage was really poor and only had it stated that it was a paid car park on the entrance board which is easy to miss as your turning into the park.

although i didn’t mention the above when appealing as on money saving expert they had a template for  horizon pcn’s which basically advised to say  “we” and not give any registered keeper details.

please find attached horizons rejection email

any thoughts on what i can do? should i go to POPLA for formal appeal? If yes can i now mention i was the driver and mention the poor signage? Or should i do nothing?

Welcome to FTLA.

To help us provide the best advice, please read the following thread carefully and provide as much of the information it asks for as you are able to: READ THIS FIRST - Private Parking Charges Forum guide

It is difficult to advise on a POPLA appeal for a PCN we have not seen, so we'll need to see that.

Please show us what you submitted. I have seen a few versions of template appeals on the MoneySavingExpert forum, but I'm unaware of any that recommend referring to oneself in the plural. Unless the recipient is a company, PCNs are addressed to one person, and that person should respond; there is no "we".

Photos of the rubbish signage will also be useful, in order to include this within any POPLA appeal.
