Horizon Parking - Misleading Website
« on: »
Hi All,

I am really hoping someone can help as I am panicking a bit now!!

I have received in total 7 PCN's from Horizon parking all of which have been appealed through POPLA except the one I missed due to having so many.

So far POPLA have stated 2 have been unsuccessful and I am awaiting a decision on the remaining.

When I first started using this car park I phoned Horizon parking and was told I could pay after I had left using the website
horizonspaces.co.uk
. The man on the phone was very helpful and even told me what postcode to put in.  When I put in the post code of my hotel WD6 1US Premier Inn Borehamwood, the only hotel options that appear for a hotel guest are Travelodge Guest. So that is what I paid as I was a hotel guest. I paid for a Horizon carpark in good faith. The fact that their website is misleading and wrong is not my fault. I have several parking charges from them and the reasons are the same for all.

I paid, and can prove that I paid for the full duration of every stay. Horizon have my money but because their website has an error I paid for the wrong carpark which is actually 0.2 miles away.

I now also have 1 letter from DEBT RECOVERY PLUS.

I would be really grateful of some advice.
Thanks in advance.

Do you have a copy of exactly what you put in your appeals? Did you specify that you spoke to advised you incorrectly?

Yes I did but only on the last 2 cases (which popla have not decided on yet) when I realised why I had been paying for the wrong car park.
