Welcome. Your situation is slightly different than most. You say you are an international student. Does that mean that you are not a UK resident? If so, what is the address that the N1SDT Claim Form was sent to? DoO you reside at another address when not at university?
Are you the Registered Keeper of the vehicle? If so, what is the address you used to register it? Is it the student accommodation or is it a different address?
I tis not clear what you mean when you say: "
...now I came back for my exams in May parked my car and left...". Does that mean you leave the car at the university while you are away from the country and you pay a £2 daily fee for the vehicle to remain parked there? How is this £2 daily fee paid? Is it every day or do you purchase a block of time to park?
Anyway, you need to deal with the claim for now, which is easily done but you need to make sure that the address for service is one which you will receive post at and regularly check it or at least have someone you can rely on check it for you.
With an issue date of 8th January 2025, you have until Monday 27th January to submit an Acknowledgement of Service (AoS).
Follow the instructions in this PDF on how to do that:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvqu3bask5m0zir/money-claim-online-How-to-Acknowledge.pdf?dl=0Once you have submitted the AoS, you then have until 4pm on Monday 10th February to submit your defence. Once you have submitted the AoS, let us know, answer the questions above and we can provide the necessary defence.
The beauty of this is that because the claim has been filed by DCB Legal, as long as it is defended, they will eventually discontinue and that will be the end of the matter.
