The £27 fee is the court fee, payable by the claimant, by a deadline given when the case is allocated to your local court, but I guess this hasn’t happened yet. The usual thing is that DCB Legal discontinues rather than pay the fee.

Ok thanks. I'll give that a shot.

Just to clarify - the "issue date" for point 1 - is that the date the original PCN was issued?

Also the date for 2a - do I just put 7 days from today? I'm not sure what the £27 hearing fee date is that you refer to.

The "issue date referred to there is the issue date of the N1SDT Claim Form from the CNBC. Nothing to do with the PCN.

Just do some simple maths and add 7 days to the the date you are sending this email which will give them the date by which you expect a response.

If you read the Notice of Allocation you received earlier in the process, just after the case was transferred to your local court, it gave all sorts of deadlines and a hearing date. The very first deadline in that order was the date by which the claimant had to pay the £27 trial fee. this is usually about a month before the hearing date.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused now.

I don't recall receiving a "Notice of Allocation" or anything from a local court, nor anything regarding hearing dates or trial fees.

Essentially I've just had the initial PCN from Euro Car Parks. That was then passed to DCBL and latterly DCB Legal.

My bad. Never mind. I see that have not yet even issued the claim. You are at PAPDC stage. Just send the email anyway.

No worries.

So the email is still fine to send as it is and I just put today's date against point 1 and then 7 days from now for point 2?

I'm reading through a few of these cases to see how they progress and had  question about this:

(b) You pay £60 to me within 14 days of service of the N279, by bank transfer to: [details], ref: [case ref].

Is it safe to give a legal firm representing a debt collection firm your bank details? I remember Jeremy Clarkson published his a good few years ago and involuntarly made a contribution to charity.

Please ask any questions either in your own thread (if the answer is to help you progress your own case) or by starting a post in the Flame Pit (if the question is to satisfy your curiosity).

However, at face value, sending your bank details to a law firm regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority would seem to be a rather different scenario to 'publishing' such details for public viewing.
