Free Traffic Legal Advice

Just got a DCBL letter for a parking fine from 3 years ago - overstay in Morrisons car park.

At the time it happened, I didnt dispute because I felt it was my fault and there were reasons for the overstay, and I paid the fine, think it was about £30.

Problem is, I now have no record of paying it, and DCBL want £170.

I've lived at the same address for 3 years, so no idea why it took them this long to send me a letter.

Any advice on this one?

Can you post up a copy of the letter?

If it was paid by bank, can your statements go back that far?

I took a pic of the DCBL letter, but cant see how to attach it.

I can check bank statements, but going through a divorce at that time and switched a few things around, so nothing on anything I still hold. 

There is a complication in that this was with a hire car (Enterprise).  They sent the info on the charge to me, but I may never have received the actual 'PCN' from Euro Car Parks.
