Thank for the Info here, I have also received the same letter although the telephone number to call is different (I am in Scotland). I know the advice here is to ignore but I an still worried about this. Has anyone ever been taken to court after receiving one of these letters?
The most annoying thing is, if I had been made aware I had and unpaid parking ticket I would of just paid it, but this is the first I have heard about it. The incident date on the letter is from April 2022. So yes, 2 years and 9 months ago... Crazy length of time... (Date of letter I received this week is dated 12th Dec 2024)
The Driver may of parked in the said car park on the day mentioned but I have no idea how I contravened the parking companies terms and conditions.
I guess I'm worried about being taken to court and the having to pay a lot more in other fees, I assume this is exactly how they scare people into paying the £170 they are asking for.
Surely the parking company would have to give me details of what I did wrong, when and how they issued a (private) parking fine, as this is the first I've heard.
What would be the next step if I did then get a letter from their legal team.
Thanks, any advice would help.
