Hello Everyone (Happy New Year)
I recived this today (see image)

Just some History. I have Stage 4 Bowel Cancer, first part was removed July 2023, then it came back and was Diagnosed in Jan 2024 ; I been placed on immunotherapy with palliative care, life expectancy 16 months. I been in Hospital most of 2024 with Scans, Bloods Test, therapy and having Stents fitted. I was asked to go to Preston NHS for a PEP-Scan on 21st Dec 2024 at 14:30pm this procedure would take up to 2 hours. Park my car (took the little classic for a spin) I parked in disabled parking, the sign said to take the bade section to ticket office at main reception, so I walked over but it was shut, I walked back to my car and noticed all the other cars parked in disabled had the full badge showing, so I placed my badge in the car and set the clock to 14:30pm this I understand would give me 3 hours parking. I then walked to PEP-Scan for my procedure. I returned to my car at approx. 16:30pm ; I had no energy to walk back round to the ticket office so I left.

I recived the Parkingeye Ticket this afternoon. I replied on line with the following:-

I was parked in Disabled Parking Bay, I had my disabled blue badge on display with my clock card set correctly, the notice said to take a section to the parking office at main reception, I walked over there and it was shut so I left both section in my car and went to PEP-Scan to have my scan completed. I have Stage 4 Bowel / Colon Cancer and am currently on immunotherapy with palliative care. Walking to the PEP-Scan location was bad enough but having to walk to main reception, back to my car then back to PEP-Scan was as much as I could do. I found the instruction on your notice confusing, it was very dark, very wet and I was not in my full health. I checked other car in the same parking bay, they also had the Blue Badge and Clock shown in the windscreen. If you feel this is not sufficient then please provide and POPLA reference number.

Happy new year. Very sorry to hear about your diagnosis - I hope you are doing as well as you can be in the circumstances.

I have removed the front page of that PCN - you had left your full name and what would appear to be your home address showing. Please redact those and then reupload the image. As a general tip for the future, I would recommend seeking advice here before sending any appeal, by identifying yourself as the driver in your appeal you may have scuppered one potential avenue of challenge.

I assume in this case, unlike the other, this car is registered to you as an individual, not your business as with your other case?

Whilst waiting for ParkingEye to respond, you should reach out to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) for the relevant hospital/trust, explaining the circumstances in which the charge arose, and ask them to intervene.

thank you, never enter my head about the personal details. Yes the Car is mine, not the companies.

Firstly a big thank you to DWMB2
This has PNC has been cancelled, the error was made by Parking Eye & Preston Hospital, my car should have been registered and was not. They have now closed / cancelled the PNC and registered both my cars. Good start to the New Year, thank you all.

Excellent - a good outcome, thanks for the update. With hospital cases, contacting PALS is always a good first move.
