We have done everything that wss advised. Complained to bridge security but had no response and ignored ZZPT. We have now had a letter from GCTT saying warning to transfer to solicitors. Please can someone advise what to do next. Thanks

Have a look at the very bottom right corner of that letter and read the small print. GCTT are the moron sitting at the desk next tot he other moron from ZZPS. They are the same firm of useless and powerless debt collectors.

Come back when you get a real Letter of Claim (LoC) either from the parking operator or a bulk litigator of their choice.

Thanks. How can I tell a legitimate letter of claim. As you can tell I have no experience in any of this !

It will state on it that it is a Letter of Claim or Letter Before Claim or something similar. It will NOT be from a debt collector and will have to give you 30 days to pay and should also include a load of other forms which you DO NOT fill out and can discard.

Thank you. If I don't need to fill out the forms but get one of these letters what do I do then? Sorry, this is all very confusing 😕

When you receive one, come back and tell us. In the meantime there are hundreds of identical cases you can search on the forums for and read what happens

Latest letter recieved today. We haven't refused to pay bridge security we have disagreed to pay the £170 as we never recieved anything from Bridge security but fully admit we didn't know we couldnt pull up ( not park ) where we did so have always offered to pay the origional £60. Thishas never been acknowledged and instead zzps keep sending letters saying we aren't corresponding. Please advise what to do now or how to respond. I did send a complaint to bridge security as someone recommended but they never responded. Thanks

Can't seem to add a picture but it says notice of transfer to solicitors unless we pay the £170 and if we don’t the amount will increase.

https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/read-this-first-private-parking-charges-forum-guide/ includes instructions for adding pictures

Unless it’s a Letter of Claim, and from ZZPS it won’t be, you can ignore. Per Reply #18.

Thank you. Out of interest does it make a difference they are saying its a parking charge but my husband didn't actually park the vehicle and leave it just pulled up to collect my daughter. He stayed in the vehicle the whole time. Google says there is a difference but would like to know if this could make a difference in the way they have worded it ? Thank you

Sitting in a car is still parking. Your husband did park. I wouldn’t advise going down this route.

PS “Google AI” should not be believed. If you find a real Web site through Google, that’s a different thing.

No worries, I don't trust Ai so thought it worth an ask lol my husband is going back there soon so will ask him to actually take a photo of the signs and see if it says notice stopping or waiting or no parking as I am pretty sure the definitions are different. Someone suggested you can't argue with stupid people and that is proving correct so maybe we could trip them up with their wording instead :). I will look into it. You would think they would jsut take the orgional amount rather than all this hassle wouldn't you! Absolutely amazes me.

I refer you back to reply #8. You keep going about this all wrong. If you admit liability, they are never, ever, EVER going to settle for the £60 you have offered them!

You have been told, time and again, debt collectors are POWERLESS to actually do anything. They certainly can't instruct solicitors to sue you. You are clearly low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree and stand to be ripped off because you are not heeding any advice.

Only a firm of solicitors or Bridge themselves can send you an LoC. Even then, there is no guarantee they will actually issue a claim. If they do, then it is easily dealt with. They will most likely use the incompetents at QDR Solicitors to issue an LoC but it is likely that QDR will simply act as a debt collector before issuing the LoC.

Until you receive an LoC, we don't need to know anything about the debt collector rubbish.

As i have explained before we cannot dispute liability as they have a photo taken by a man who was patrolling the area! We have only ever disputed the fact we didnt get that parking charge. Why shouldn't theu accept the £60 as that was the orihional charge and what we would have paid.
