Parking fine
« on: »
Hi received a £100 ticket from HX for being 3cm into a yellow bay. I was not blocking anything or anyone
I appealed. They rejected it and said I could go to IAS. Is it worth it or do I pay the 100?

What “fine”? I will give you £100 for every occurrence of the word “fine” you can show me in any of the correspondence you have received over this.

What you have received is a speculative invoice from an unregulated private parking firm for an alleged breach of contract by the driver. Should you just pay any old invoice? If you are low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree who is easily intimidated into paying an invoice because you are ignorant of your rights or just plain fearful of a process you don’t understand, then you are obviously easily scammed.

All these Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) are defendable. However, without seeing both sides of the postal Notice to Keeper (NtK) you received and the exact wording you used in your initial appeal, it is not possible to give you much advice.
