Given the shortage of parking spaces due to works going on, is it likely the "foreign" PCNs have simply been removed from other "offending" vehicles and stuck on yours? Are the registration numbers completely different or just trivially changed - one or two characters?

Hi,
I have a private registration number but what has happened is that they've mixed up the letter O and the number 0 given it is not in the standard number plate format. So the tickets were definitely for me but hopefully unenforceable now given it is not my exact reg number.

Hey,

Yes, so I have appealed and used the usual spiel of not identifying the driver and sent proof of having paid for standard parking. I have not done anything with regards to the PCNs with incorrect registration numbers. Waiting to hear back from APCOA so will keep you posted.

Anyone kind enough to help pls as I need to appeal by Saturday?

Thank you

Can you show us the whole of the PCN, including all the text on it? (personal details like Reg redacted)

APCOA haven't previously done court, in our experience, so there's not too much risk involved here. If your VRM (reg) is wrong on two of them, I'd be tempted to ignore those two and see what happens. They'll need to apply to DVLA for your details for each ticket - in theory, for the two where they've got your VRM wrong, DVLA will return no data (or someone else's, if the incorrect VRM belongs to a real vehicle).

Thank you for responding.

Full PCN uploaded.

Hi all,

Four days of parking was booked on 8th February at the APCOA Luton Airport Parkway Station multi-storey car park from 21st Apr to 24th Apr for holiday parking.

Upon arrival on 21st Apr, there was a sign which read levels 3-5 were closed from Friday 20th March to Monday 23rd March due to essential works and a barrier to stop cars from entering the 3rd floor. This was not communicated in advance. So with effectively 60% of the car park unavailable, unsurprisingly there were no free bays apart from the "premier parking" bays on level 1 and 2. With no time to look for alternative parking given the flight was in less than 1 1/2 hours, the car was parked in the only available parking bays which were marked as "premier parking".

Upon return, the car had three parking charge notices for parking in a premier parking bay without a valid permit.

Two of these notices have the incorrect registration number where they mixed up the letter O with the number zero.

Only one of the notices has the correct registration number.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could advise how to approach the PCNs.

A big thank you in advance and please let me know if you would like any further information.
