Hi
I have received a court claim form relating to a parking overstay from over 5 years ago. Since then I have lived at three different addresses and can no longer find any paperwork relating to it, except for a letter of claim form which was suddenly received from DCB on 29/1/26 which I didn't even read at the time as I was staying with my Mum during her end of life care.

I have never responded to any letters, and no longer have any idea of how much overstay or even how much the original fine was, or even if it was myself or my husband driving. ( Although it wouldn't have been over by very much)

Please would someone mind possibly helping and pointing me in the right direction of appropriate templates as defence to submit and how.
I have submitted the AOS form on 11/3, so I understand that that has bought me some extra time, at least.
If it helps, I have proof that I spent over £120 that day at the Lidl where the car park is, on the Lidl app.

Particulars of claim
1. D is indebted to C for a PC issued for vehicle xxx in B retail park
2. Date of contravention is 21/12/20 and D was issued with a PC by the C
3. The D is pursued as the driver of the vehicle for breach of the terms on the sign (contract). Reason: Vehicle remained on Private Property in breach of the displayed T & Cs
4. In the alternative the D is pursued as the keeper pursuant to POFA 2012 schedule 4
AND THE CLAIMANT CLAIMS
1.£170 being the total of the PC and damages
2. Interest at a rate of 8% pa pursuant to s.69 of the County Courts Act 1984 from the date hereof at a daily rate of 3p until judgement or sooner payment
3. Costs and court fees

THANK YOU SO MUCH, if anyone is able to help.

Amount claimed 244.84

Legal costs 50
Total 329.84
