Private parking tickets / PCN Group Nexus / DCBL Direct Bailiffs

Hi all,
would appreciate some advice. I received a charge on late Sept', based on arrival and departure picture of vehicle registered to me from Group Nexus for parking in a retail park in Livingston Scotland.
based as far as I can tell on an entry and exit picture of a vehicle. Aa I work overseas for periods I didn't open the letter until after the 14 days appeal window.
this prevented me from doing the online appeal, no email address was available, only address. So I wrote them a letter stating my case, being
the entry picture was based on a visit to this carpark to Pets at Home, duration of the stay less than 15mins.
the exit picture was based on a later visit by another driver who visited Halfords
it's impossible to spend 4hrs in this 5 shop retail park
they haven't responded, they have handed over DCBL bailiffs who are now sending final notice
I'd like to think I should have an opportunity to resolve this or correspond with nexus, even with the extended response time due to being overseas.
Does anyone have any input or similar experience? Do I need to take this serious
