I have a long-running correspondence / issue with a supposed PCN from 2022 (my ex wife was driving my car). It was first brought to my attention by Trace Debt Recovery. No evidence provided at the stage. At that point the charge was already set at £170 (£100 for initial PCN and £70 for 'unpaid'costs levied).

Moorside Legal then got in touch with a Letter Before Claim, again demanding payment of the £170, with no evidence yet again. I wrote to their PO Box with advice taken from this website in another thread as to how to respond.

Moorside have written (13 Feb 2026) back saying the evidence I am seeking is on their web-portal in a 'My Documents' section. Of course, there is nothing there. The section where the Notice to Keeper and 'Evidence'(as they refer to it) is supposed to be, is empty, with an error message saying "Oops. This page currently isn't available. Please try again or contact us[/i]"

Since they have not provided the evidence I asked for, I am working on the continued assumption there isn't any evidence. I won't be responding again, unless someone advises here that there is a better way to close this down?

I was going to write to them and tell them there is no evidence, but right now it feels as though I am writing to an email-scammer and just prolonging things.

Thanks for any advice received!

Thank you for the advice. I too received a non compliant LBC from Moorside for £170, after three threatening letters from Trace Debt Recovery acting for Alliance Parking about a PCN from 3 years ago. My ex wife had borrowed my car and seems that was when it was ticketed but I never received a PCN (car was sold three months later, but as keeper at the time i had not changed address.

I have emailed using the guidance and the above email address but got bounce back from Moorside with info saying the email address isn't monitored and instead directs you to a "portal" to register enquiries. I am suspicious of that as i presume entering your details and reference number is an admission of guilt. I have instead written and posted a letter to the PO Box in N17 London.

I assume that's the only course of action for now? Thank you
