I went to CAB today, they told me the same as you that stating  inadequate signage and signage stating a toll fee has to paid on the approach to Silvertown tnl being to small is grounds enough to overturn a PCN. Unfortunately I was away visiting my family when the first letter was sent by ftl of my traffic contravention, and even with my appeal, it didn't hold much hope, and even if I did appeal, because I was unaware of my letter until many weeks later when I returned home,my appeal wouldn't have reached them on time before I incurred the full amount imposed for this traffic contravention of £180,so I had no choice other than pay £90 today because I was up to my limited time to which tlf require their money before the full amount of £180 was imposed.I think at this stage it's game over for me,I'm just another stastic of many thousands over the last few months that have been caught out and had to pay PCNs, but thanks for your offer of help and support

Can you appeal a PCN for using Silvertown Tnl, if you believe the signage explaining there's a toll to paid was to small and inadequate, with considering that the traffic flow  being fast and busy

Dear sir,I was issued a PCN for using Silvertown Tunnel northbound, date & time of issue 09.09.25 15.11hrs.I explained I was unaware of a toll to be paid,I'd used Blackwall Tnl many times before,it was free and assumed the same allied to using Silvertown Tnl.I saw no signage to say there was a toll to pay until I received my PCN.I also explained that I felt that the signage approaching  this busy tunnel informing driver's there is a toll is inadequate. They've refused to overturn my PCN & sent me a hard copy Notice of Appeal to send to London Tribunal, it states on the grounds of appeal ONLY 7 examples where an ajudicator can allow an appeal, any other examples of which I've stated would probably be all be in vain. Is there any point on still appealing my PCN,or would it be pointless.
I look forward to any advice or help regarding this matter, many thanks,Steve.
