Okay, data rectification notice sent to tr@dcbltd.com and DPO@eurocarparks.com. I'll try to talk to the store manager but I don't have high hopes. Thanks for the help so far!

Hi TS and others,

From reading other threads, it is too late to appeal and such letters can be ignored for now as they are trying to threaten us into paying.

We have to wait for Letter of Claim (LoC) from DCBLs sister company DCB Legal, and then we can start fighting it.

For now, we need to update the address on license and V5C. We also need to send a data rectification notice to the Data Protection Officer at Euro Car Parks Limited and "tell them to update their records with your current address for service and to erase your old address. The highlighted words must be used in the notice."

Alternatively, chat with the store manager and try to get them to get the charge removed or at least reduced to original amount.

Sounds about right?

Hi,
As the registered owner of the vehicle, I have received a "notice of debt recovery" letter (dated 1st Oct 2025) from Direct Collections Bailiffs LTD becasue the vehicle has overstayed the maximum time period allowed at a customer car park on the 1st of March, 2025.

The car park is operated by Euro Car Parks but I have not received any letters from them (prior to the above letter) because my driving license and V5C has the wrong address on it (my bad, I will go correct that now). As a result, I have not seen any proof of the overstay, and dcbl have said on a phone call that they will not provide any.

Photos of the letter (sorry about the images being rotated 90degrees):

Any advice would be much appreciated!
