Yes, apologies forgot to mention, sent but not heard back yet.  Thanks again for the suggestion.  Does DVLA action these complaints and can it be useful down the line?

Hi all, apologies for the delayed update but thanks again for the helpful replies.  Appeals for the two charges were filed using the wording kindly supplied by b789.

Interestingly the two appeals have had different responses.

Parking Charge #1 (Issued at 1:39 AM on 03/08/2025)
I have received an electronic response asking to supply a 'copy of a valid permit' to their appeals department.

Been able to locate a permit as pictured.

Parking Charge #2 (Issued at 1:42 AM on 04/08/2025)
This one has been rejected via letter.  POPLA reference has been attached.

I would be very grateful for advice on how to proceed.
On PC #1 I assume send a copy of the permit with the expectation that they will eventually reject it anyway?

On PC #2 Advice would be greatly appreciated on how to approach the POPLA appeal.  The permit validity on day of issue isn't mentioned on the signage, not to mention the absurdity of needing to renew a permit at midnight every day.

Many thanks!

Hi all, grateful for any advice you can give me regarding two consecutive parking charges I’ve received as RK.  They were issued in the early hours of Sun 3 Aug and Mon 4 Aug.

The driver was visiting a resident of a complex of flats during the first weekend in August. The car was parked in a visitor space and was not in use for the duration of the visit.

As was verbally explained by security (run by a separate company), at this complex there is a permit obtainable from security that must be renewed afresh daily although the overnight stay is included (again, this was all told verbally).  On this visit, the permit for the day of arrival was obtained and is the one on display in the photos.

The flat management company has refused to assist.  Grateful for any advice or suggested wording/ templates for correspondence.  Thanks in advance.
